Local Waterfront Revitalization Program

Presentation & Survey

In 2019, the Town of Hector was awarded a planning grant called a Local Waterfront Revitalization Planning (LWRP). Although the focus of this is largely on Smith Park, we’ve included all of Hector’s waterfront area in order to apply for future project grants along the waterfront and the 414 corridor. The defined waterfront revitalization area is approximately the same boundaries of the Hector Water District: north-south: from Watkins Glen to Seneca Road; and east-west: from 1000 feet east of Route 414 to Seneca Lake.  Last summer, Hector residents were invited to an open house at the VLH Fire Hall to be introduced and give feedback on the LWRP.  Now, we invite you to comment on the draft project ideas by joining us on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/TownofHectorNY) for a live Zoom presentation on Wednesday, July 29th at 6pm and/or by participting in an online public survey open from July 29th-August 12th.
