Water Hydrant Flushing Schedule Fall 2023
The Hector Water District will be flushing water mains September 13th thru October 8th, 2023 during the hours of 9am to 3pm. Please see fall flushing schedule below. The purpose of this procedure is to enhance water quality and remove sediment from the distribution system. You may notice the following conditions: low water pressure, cloudy water or rusty/brown water. The water will be safe during this time. You should refrain from doing laundry until late evening/or early morning. When doing laundry, run the cold water in the tub before starting the wash to make sure the water is clear before proceeding. Wash colored clothes before whites and refrain from using bleach during this time.
September 13th - September 17th State Route 414 corridor from Peach Orchard Rd. to Valois, (includes Beckhorn Road, Fausold Road, Dugue Road), Peach Orchard Rd. & Peach Orchard Point Area
September 20th – September 24th County Route 2, Bassett Rd., County Route 4, Mathews Road
September 27th – October 1st State Route 414 corridor from Peach Orchard Rd. to Hector Falls and County Route 5
October 4th – October 8th Village of Burdett
